These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of SalesGuard (the “Software”), a Microsoft Dynamics 365-native application developed, distributed, and supported by PowerData Dynamics UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“PowerData Dynamics”, “we”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using SalesGuard, the customer (“Customer”, “you”) agrees to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Software.
These Terms apply to any organization or individual that installs SalesGuard from Microsoft AppSource or otherwise obtains access to the Software from PowerData Dynamics. Use of the Software also requires a valid Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales environment and is subject to Microsoft’s own terms governing that platform and the AppSource marketplace, which apply in addition to these Terms.
Subject to these Terms and full payment of any applicable subscription fees, PowerData Dynamics grants Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to install and use SalesGuard within Customer’s own Dynamics 365 environment, solely for Customer’s internal business purposes and for the number of users or environments covered by Customer’s subscription.
This license does not transfer any ownership in the Software. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by PowerData Dynamics.
Customer agrees not to, and not to permit any third party to:
Where SalesGuard is obtained through Microsoft AppSource, subscription fees, billing cycles, and payment terms are handled through Microsoft’s commercial marketplace and the associated Microsoft transaction terms. These Terms govern Customer’s use of the Software itself; they do not alter the billing relationship between Customer and Microsoft.
These Terms remain in effect for as long as Customer maintains an active subscription to SalesGuard.
SalesGuard, including its source code, design, documentation, and associated trademarks, is and remains the exclusive property of PowerData Dynamics UG (haftungsbeschränkt). Nothing in these Terms grants Customer any right, title, or interest in PowerData Dynamics’ intellectual property except the limited license expressly set out in Section 2.
SalesGuard stores your business data (Opportunity values, rules, evaluations and scores) in your own Dynamics 365 environment. To set SalesGuard up, the SalesGuard Setup page sends installation identifiers to PowerData Dynamics’ setup service: the Microsoft Entra tenant ID, the Dataverse environment ID and URL, an installation job ID, and the signing-in administrator’s sign-in name and object ID. Our Data Protection Policy describes how we process them.
Installation record. To know which version of SalesGuard each environment runs, which environments need an update and whether an update worked, PowerData Dynamics keeps one record per environment. It holds your tenant ID and environment ID, which identify the record; your environment’s web address; the Dataverse organization ID; the installed SalesGuard version, when it was read, and how it was read (by Setup, after a Repair, or during an update we installed); the record’s status; the ID of the SalesGuard Updater application user; and the update details described in section 8. To group and match records, we also store an update-group number and a one-way fingerprint of the web address. The installation record never contains user names, e-mail addresses, passwords or access tokens, or any of your business data.
How it is collected. Setup reads the organization ID and the installed version in your environment with the signing-in administrator’s own access, in the same request that installs SalesGuard. From SalesGuard 1.1.0.128, after a Repair, Setup offers an optional step, “Sign in and record”, which your administrator may skip. If the administrator takes it, they sign in to Microsoft again. SalesGuard then checks that the account is a System Administrator or SalesGuard Admin in the environment, and records the organization ID and the installed version again. The result of that check is not stored with the record. SalesGuard’s service log keeps a fixed result code for each such step for up to 30 days.
How long it is kept. We delete an installation record 90 days after SalesGuard is uninstalled from the environment or the SalesGuard Updater’s access is revoked. A record for an environment that was never enrolled for updates is deleted 90 days after its last activity.
PowerData Dynamics provides standard support and maintenance services for SalesGuard as described on the SalesGuard Customer Support page.
PowerData Dynamics UG (haftungsbeschränkt) may make commercially reasonable changes to SalesGuard. New versions are published through Microsoft AppSource, and your administrator can install them from the Power Platform admin center.
During setup your administrator also approves the SalesGuard Updater, an application user that lets PowerData Dynamics install SalesGuard updates in your environment. It holds two Dataverse security roles and never System Administrator. The first is System Customizer, a Microsoft role that can change your environment’s configuration and can read and change records in many tables. The second is SalesGuard Updater, which lets it install and register SalesGuard’s own components, including its plug-ins, and run SalesGuard’s installation checks. To do this, the SalesGuard Updater role includes the ability to create and edit security roles in your environment, because every SalesGuard update rewrites SalesGuard’s own security roles, and read-only access to Account records within its own business unit, which other SalesGuard roles grant and which an update that rewrites those roles may require. Because plug-ins run inside your environment, these roles are powerful. PowerData Dynamics therefore signs in as the SalesGuard Updater only from its approved release pipeline, only to install a SalesGuard update and run SalesGuard’s installation checks, and never to read, change or evaluate your business records. The SalesGuard Updater has no stored secret or certificate; the sign-in trust is created only for an approved update and removed afterwards.
After Setup has first reached Ready, your administrator can disable the SalesGuard Updater application user at any time. Your environment then receives new versions only when your administrator installs them. Until Setup has first reached Ready, a missing or disabled SalesGuard Updater is a failed Setup check and Setup does not finish. We support the current and previous version of SalesGuard.
When PowerData Dynamics installs an update, the SalesGuard Updater reads the environment’s identity and installed version before and after the update. We add to the installation record the organization ID as the Updater read it, the installed version, whether the update left SalesGuard ready, the result of the update, and whether the SalesGuard Updater application user is enabled. We use the installation record only to plan updates and to confirm that an update worked. It never starts a change by itself. Before any update, our release pipeline re-reads the environment’s identity and version, and stops if they differ from what was planned.
Customer is responsible for:
Each party agrees to keep confidential information received from the other party confidential and to use such information solely for purposes related to these Terms.
Customer shall comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations relating to the use of the Software.
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside its reasonable control, including failures of Microsoft cloud services or other third-party infrastructure providers.
These Terms constitute the complete agreement between Customer and PowerData Dynamics concerning SalesGuard.
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PowerData Dynamics disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. PowerData Dynamics does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

PowerData Dynamics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable mandatory law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Customer may stop using SalesGuard, and end its subscription, at any time in accordance with the applicable Microsoft AppSource terms. PowerData Dynamics may suspend or terminate Customer’s license if Customer materially breaches these Terms and fails to remedy the breach within a reasonable period after notice. Upon termination, Customer’s right to use the Software ends immediately; provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 14, 15, and 17) will continue to apply.
PowerData Dynamics may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Software, our practices, or legal requirements. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of SalesGuard after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
